Winehouse, Whitney for Brits Tributes

Winehouse, Whitney for Brits Tributes, Reports claim both Winehouse & Houston will be honoured at the bash...

The Brit Awards 2012 will reportedly pay tribute to the late Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston tomorrow (21st February).

According to The Metro, event organisers have managed to adjust timings at the ceremony in order to pay homage to both Winehouse and Houston, who both sadly passed away over the last year.

A source told the newspaper: "Whitney and Amy are two of the biggest female stars in the history of music. Both have made their mark on stage at the Brits in the past."

The insider added: "Something would feel missing if both their legacies weren't remembered at the show."

Amy last took to The Brit Awards stage in 2008 to perform hit single Valerie with Mark Ronson, while Whitney's last appearance was back in 1999 where she sang It's Not Right, But It's Okay.

Winehouse's father Mitch recently hit out at the Grammy Awards for failing to pay tribute to his daughter, tweeting: "I am a little disappointed that apart from the award Amy wasn't mentioned. Apart from that, it went well.”

The Brit Awards 2012 are set to take place at London's O2 Arena tomorrow, and will feature performances from Adele, Rihanna and Coldplay.
