The ''Marry the Night'' singer recently won a Hero Award in recognition of her work with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community by the Trevor Project - a non-profit company that offers suicide prevention services.

David McFarland, Trevor Project CEO and executive officer, said: ''Our young people are at the center of a health crisis, and vocal leaders like Lady Gaga and technology leaders like Google Inc. have stepped up to help change our culture.''
