According to the Wall Street Journal, Summit Entertainment producers and bridal gowns retailer Alfred Angelo have secretly been planning for a replica of the dress since May.
The top secret project was "signed with blood" as designer Michael Shettel jokingly describes.
The secrecy on the wedding dress was so tight that Alfred Angelo stores weren't given warning or the dress' arrival as well as inventories or photos were kept. The original wedding gown worn by Kristen Stewart was made by Venezuelan top designer Carolina Herrera.
The wedding gown displayed elegance as it was made in silk. It was a modest cut v-neck with long sleeves, complete with lace detailing and buttons running down at the back. The "Edwardian inspired gown" was reportedly valued at $35,000.
The gown was accompanied by specially designed, jewel-encrusted shoes made by Manolo Blahnik. Although the original dress costs a fortune, the replica is reasonably priced at $799. Good news for Twilight fans who are planning their own wedding.
