Reports are suggesting that Megan Fox, once employed actress, is in negotiations to star alongside Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann in Apatow’s upcoming project, the “spin-off” from Knocked Up. This. Is. A. Genius. Movie. by her players. GENIUS. I cannot express how much I love this move by her. Although Jennifer’s Body has some aspects of humor, it was more of a horror/camp shout-out to the ’80′s. And while her acting in Transformers 2 was hysterical at times, I don’t think that was intended.

No, no, this is where Megan Fox has to go! Can she pull off comedy? Like, a legit comedy – this is Judd Apatow, not the Olsen twins. This is what Charlize Theron needs to do, like we all get you won an Oscar for being ugly and you’ve played ugly in every role since but f*ck, lighten up and put on your duck nap sac from Arrested Development because you were a piss on that. Sometimes these actresses get so caught up on “being serious” or trying to figure our their next move that by picking the wrong projects, they get lost in the shuffle.

Many have worried about Fox since she was “let go” from Transformers 3. I like her those films, she has good chemistry with Shia, and while it doesn’t demand much in the way of character acting, she was harmless. I am in the camp that I think she can act. No, she’s not Meryl Streep but if you expect that, you’re an idiot .For what Megan Fox’s purpose is, or was, in those films she did well. In Jennifer’s Body she was sarcastic, witty and vengeful and I loved it. This is a fantastic choice by her handlers and I think it’ll pay off very, VERY, well – if she steps up her game.
