David Schwimmer Lacey Schwimmer Cousin, Its legions of older viewers were left fuming last year when Strictly Come Dancing moved away from the cosy Cha Cha Cha – with dancers flaunting sexy costumes and even more explicit dance moves.

Now BBC bosses have taken the BBC1 ballroom hit a step further by hiring one of the sirens of Dancing With The Stars as a choreographer.

Sultry Lacey Schwimmer has already caused a stir as a professional dancer on the US version of the TV talent contest.

Now she is set to get pulses racing here as well. The blonde star has been in London helping choreograph two Strictly dance routines.

Miss Schwimmer – a cousin of Friends star David Schwimmer – revealed she had been rehearsing with the cast.

She wrote: ‘Off to work with all the hunky men of Strictly Come Dancing… goodness my job is so difficult  ’, before posting a picture of her with the entire cast of professional dancers.

Once a petite brunette, the dancer has transformed her looks in recent years.

As well as dyeing her hair blonde, she reportedly had surgery on her nose and lips, and enlarged her breasts by two sizes.

Almost 500 people complained to the BBC last year over a routine by retired footballer Robbie Savage.

Dancing to Michael Jackson’s song Bad, the 37-year-old made a series of suggestive pelvic thrusts and finished his performance by leaping on to the judges’ desk.

However, despite admitting viewers found the routine ‘tasteless and vulgar’, the BBC Trust’s editorial standards committee dismissed complaints, saying the routine met ‘generally accepted standards.’

Hundreds more viewers complained about the female dancers’ plunging necklines.

Savage’s professional dance partner Ola Jordan, 29, as well as dancers Australian Natalie Lowe, 33, and Miss Rihanoff wore particularly risqué outfits.

Some complained that the camera angles seemed to linger on contestants’ breasts as they descended the TV set’s staircase.

Yesterday (21), cyclist Victoria Pendleton said she was ‘very interested’ in taking part in the BBC1 show.

The Olympic gold medal winner told ITV1’s Lorraine show she is planning her next career move after retiring from the sport.

She said: ‘Well, I tell you what, if they do ring me I’d be very interested, I have to say.

‘The idea of being very glamorous, it definitely appeals to me. After wearing Lycra suits and tracksuits for so long and not a lot of make-up I think, yeah, that would be good fun.’

The Strictly Come Dancing launch show will air on September 15. The first live show is on October 5.

Former This Morning host Fern Britton has signed up, as has BBC news reader Sian Williams.

Ex-England cricketer Michael Vaughan is also mooted to be on the line-up – and Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington has also said she would like to take to the dance floor.
