The Nazi salute photo can be seen on WLBZ's website. The report states that the girls' names have not been released because they are minors. Their faces have been blurred out in the photo to protect their identity as well. Along with the offensive picture, the girls also sent out a few tweets that "use offensive and sometimes anti-Semetic language."
"When situations like this come up when students are using prejudiced and intolerant speech and actions, it shows that the school really needs to seriously institute anti-bias, anti-bullying education and curriculum," said Emily Chaleff, the executive director of the Jewish Community Alliance of Southern Maine.
The Nazi salute photo is getting lots of attention nationwide. Should the girls be suspended or expelled from school for their actions?
