Khloe Kardashian fired
A first-time TV host, Kardashian was paired with seasoned TV emcee Mario Lopez for the Fox singing competition's second season. According to the Post, Lopez has been asked to return for Season 3. "The producers have not yet made the talent decisions for this year," an X Factor spokesperson told TVGuide.com.
If Kardashian is leaving, she would be the third member of the team to depart. Shortly before the season finale, Judge L.A. Reid announced he was leaving to focus on his day job as chairman of Epic Records. In January, judge Britney Spears announced that she too would not be returning so as to focus on her music. At the time, sources confirmed to TVGuide.com that Spears also left because she knew she was not going to be asked back for another season.
Both Kardashian and Spears were brought in as part of a massive overhaul of the show after the end of Season 1 that saw the exits of judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, and host Steve Jones.
