Nearly nude driver DWI
Nearly nude driver DWI, A nearly nude female driver wearing only an unzipped jacket is facing DWI charges following a crash in New Jersey. The nearly nude driver, identified as 36-year-old Catherine Giaquinto, of Warwick, N.Y., allegedly crashed her car into a stone wall in Sparta Township and kept on driving, the Associated Press reported Monday.

Cops received a call from a resident at around 12:53 a.m. Friday saying a white Volkswagen Jetta crashed into a retaining wall and kept going, NJ.com reported.

A Sparta Township police officer pulled Giaquinto Friday shortly after the crash, according to the AP. The nearly nude driver allegedly told the cop she didn’t remember crashing into the wall or where she was going.

The area’s temperature was a chilly 16 degrees Friday, which prompted an officer to ask why Giaquinto why she was driving nude.

“Giaquinto denied being completely naked,” Sparta Police Sgt. John-Paul Beebe told NJ.com.

While the nearly nude driver was arrested, officers spotted clothing in Giaquinto’s car and told her to get dressed, the AP reported.

It took the 36-year-old New Yorker 10 minutes to put on a dress, which she wore it inside-out, NJ.com reported.

Sparta Police Officer Joseph Pensado suspected the nude driver had been drunk. He said he noticed Giaquinto had slurred speech in addition to not remembering where she was going or that she had been in an accident, according to NJ.com.

Beebe said Giaquinto allegedly had other signs of drunkenness. He said the nearly nude driver couldn’t maintain her balance during a DWI test, the website reported.

Giaquinto was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath testing, leaving the scene of an accident, careless driving and failure to wear a seatbelt, Beebe told NJ.com.
