Brooke Shields Father was an Executive at Revlon and Grandmother was Princess Donna Marina Torlonia, The father of the actress Brooke Shields, Francis Xavier Alexander Shields was an executive at cosmetics giant Revlon in New York and also a business man abut he was best known for her actress daughter Brooke.

He was born in May 16, 1941 in New York City, and died in Palm Beach, Florida of prostate cancer at the age of 61 in April 27, 2003.

Brook's father attended the Buckley School in Manhattan and St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire, before graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, where he captained the crew that rowed in the Henley Royal Regatta in 1962 and was a member of St.

Anthony Hall. An avid sportsman, Shields never lost his love of rowing and founded the Power Ten New York, an organization dedicated to the sport, in 1980.

In 1964, Alexander Shields married Maria Theresia Schmon, better known as Brooke Shields' mother/manager, Teri Shields.

After their divorce, when Brooke was only five months old, he married, in 1970, Diana "Didi" Lippert, former wife of Thomas Gore Auchincloss, who is the son of Hugh D.

Auchincloss and half-brother of Gore Vidal and a stepbrother of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Alexander Shields had three daughters by his second marriage: Marina, Olympia, and Christina.

Donna Marina Torlonia dei Principi di Civitella-Cesi (October 22, 1916 – September 15, 1960) was an Italian-American aristocrat best known as the paternal grandmother of the actress and model Brooke Shields.

Torlonia was born in Rome, at Palazzo N??ez-Torlonia, the youngest daughter of Marino Torlonia, 4th prince of Civitella-Cesi and his American wife, Mary Elsie Moore, a daughter of Charles Arthur Moore, a shipping broker and hardware manufacturer from Connecticut. The Torlonia family gained its fortune in the administration of Vatican finances.

The Shieldses had two children: a son, Francis Alexander Shields (father of the actress and model Brooke Shields) and a daughter, Marina Shields.
