Heart Attack Grill

Heart Attack Grill, As we already reported, a customer actually suffered a heart attack at the un-ironically named Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas on Saturday (Feb. 11) while eating one of the hospital-themed restaurant's Triple Bypass Burgers.

That burger, by the way, consists of three half-pound beef patties, 12 slices of bacon, three slices of American cheese and the restaurant's special sauce. There's also some tomato and onion, but that's kind of beside the point.

The man apparently survived and is recovering at a local hospital, according to KVUU TV. But, Basso says he has no plans to shutter his restaurant -- where customers who weigh more than 350 pounds eat free -- or make any changes to his menu.

Last March, the restaurant's 575-pound spokesman, Blair River, died at the age of 29, reports the International Business Times. He was replaced by Ernie Heart -- who had been the grill's original spokesman, but had to quit to have heart surgery.

Restaurant owner "Doctor" Jon Basso is on record as aspiring to purvey "nutritional pornography" to customers and hopes to encourage restaurant goers to make unhealthy choices.

So, what do you think? Should the Heart Attack Grill -- which is obviously encouringing irresponsible eating habits -- close? Or should consumers just exercise a little self-control and bypass the restaurant in favor of something healthier?
