Aaguilera rutler public intoxication: Although the ink on the papers from her divorce from ex-husband, music exec Jordan Bratman, is pretty much still drying, sources say singer Christina Aguilera is keen to remarry. After separating from Bratman, Aguilera began dating Matt Rutler. Not too long after her widely panned Super Bowl performance. Aguilera and Rutler were taken into custody after some late night partying in Los Angeles. Aguilera was reportedly arrested “for her own safety,” and police later opted not to charge Rutler for driving while intoxicated.
Aguilera’s last marriage lasted for five years, and friends say she’d like to tie the knot again- but Rutler might not yet be ready. Sources close to the star said:
‘Christina is telling us that she’d love to marry Mat… She is absolutely consumed with him and can’t stand to be apart for even a minute. She began talking about marriage within months of splitting with Jordan.’
The same friends say Rutler is digging the perks of dating an A-lister- but that doesn’t necessarily mean he wants to settle down just yet:
‘Matt’s enjoyed the first months of their relationship, being wined and dined and flying first class around the world,’ a friend revealed. ‘But he’s not established in his career. He’s still so young and struggling to find himself.’
Aguilera and Bratman are parents to a son, Max, whom they have been raising together since their split. Aguilera has been keeping busy with her work on NBC’s The Voice and earlier this month released a video for a duet with Adam Levine.
