Michelle has launched a program to fight child obesity in the United States. The “Let’s Move!” campaign has been both hailed and criticized in the United States with critics saying parents should be responsible for what their children eat.
Childhood obesity is a major problem in the United States because it is blamed for several health conditions. Major restaurants and children food manufacturers have come under pressure in recent times for the content of the products that they bring out.
The National Geographic Kids says several Washington D.C. schoolchildren will take part in the program which will take place on the South Lawn on Tuesday. Officials of the Guinness Records will be present to supervise the program and it will need to pass the official requirements to be considered into the record book.
