Take That 'taking two-year break from music'
Take That 'taking two-year break from music'. This news makes us a bit sad, but it doesn’t really surprise us. Reports out today claim that those lovely Take That boys will definitely be taking a little extended break from the music world. The decision follows their hugely successful Progress Live tour – where the band played sell-out gigs in stadiums across Europe. But an insider has told the Sunday Mirror that the reason for the two-year break is because there have actually been rifts in the band.

The source revealed, “At first it was fairytale, having Robbie back and being a five-piece again, but a few arguments and their touring schedule made it hard going. Howard, Jason and Mark all said they were shattered at the end of their tour.”

And now with Gary Barlow shining on The X Factor, Howard heading out into Europe to DJ and Robbie Williams’ well-publicised solo plans, it sounds as though the time apart is probably a very good idea. Or the poor lads might actually burn out (NB. we’d be there to nurse them if this was to happen though).

The insider continued, “They [the boys] will be meeting up to discuss things after Christmas. They all love touring and recording music, and have been totally dedicated to Take That but nothing has been decided about what happens next.”

Aw! We’ll miss them but hopefully in a couple of years’ time we’ll see the band back again. We wonder if Mark Owen will go off and do more solo recording in the mean time (Four Minute Warning, anyone?).

Yesterday, Take That’s publicist said that the talk of arguments are untrue but that the other band members are away relaxing while Gary does his thing on The X Factor. “The band are all on great terms. They are on a well deserved break at the moment, taking a post-tour holiday,” he said.
