Baking Cookies in the Car
Ingredients
Pre-made cookie dough, commercial or home-made (the recipe base used for the majority of the images in this article is at Make Egg Free Refrigerator Cookies – chocolate chips were added to the recipe)
Steps
- Prepare the cookie sheet. Either spray a cookie sheet with a can of cooking spray (shake before spraying), or line it with baking parchment paper.
- Prepare the cookie dough if needed. If you haven't purchased pre-made cookie dough, make the dough from this recipe.
- Cut the pre-made cookie dough into even rounds if you have commercial dough. Alternatively, shape the cookie dough as neatly as possible from homemade dough. Place the pieces of unbaked cookie dough on the cookie sheet about 1 1/2 inches / 38mm apart. Use a spatula or a fork to flatten the cookies. You can use your fingers to do this if you don't mind getting them messy.
- Cover the cookies with plastic-wrap if not baking immediately. Keep in the refrigerator until needed.
- Place the cookie sheet inside of your car, on the dashboard.
- Put a thermometer next to the cookie sheet, so that you know how hot it gets as your cookies bake!
- Keep an eye on the baking process by looking through the windshield.
- When your cookies look a bit bronzed, or baked, it's time to remove them.
- Serve the cookies to people.
