The phrase “there’s an app for everything” takes on new meaning with the recent launch of an app that claims to cure homosexuality. The “Gay Cure” app is now available in the iTunes store much to the consternation of gay right activists. A petition to have the app removed has already begun circulating.

More than 35,000 people have signed it in the hopes the app rated with four stars will be removed. A four star rating indicates the application does not contain any objectionable material.

The group Exodus International is behind the creation of the app and claim that homosexuality can be cured with a lot of prayer and some conversion therapy.

Apple has received numerous complaints from various organizations about their willingness to allow such discriminatory content on their network.

The company will be forced to alienate their gay clientele or their devout Christian clientele.
