Drone attacks report, Naib Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan and former Senator Professor Khurshid Ahmad has invited the attention of the political and religious leadership to a report published in the New York Times alleging that drone attacks in North Waziristan on February 6 to 8 were conducted not by the US forces but allegedly by Pakistan Air Force. However, the spokesman of the Pakistan military has denied the allegation.According to Professor Khurshid, this has raised a very alarming question: Is any third party involved in this violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and attack on its territory?
The official statement denying Pakistan’s complicity in these persistent violations of its territory. The new situation now points out some new imperial game plans, particularly in context of the questions in Congress Committees and some critical discussion, in the US and world media.
Prof Khurshid Ahmad stressed that Pakistan government and the Military must give full account of the situation to the Parliament and the people. “The Defence Committees of the Senate and the National Assembly should take up this issue immediately,” he demanded.
He also stressed that without wasting further time Pakistan must cut off itself from the US War on Terror and tell it bluntly that any cooperation with America in connection with its exit strategy from Afghanistan would be impossible in the face of such threatening gestures.
