iPhone camera mode discovered
iPhone camera mode discovered, IPhone users running the new iOS 5 operating system can take continuous photos while panning from left to right.

The fun new function is great news for iPhone users - but Apple will be furious as the new system is still thought to be undergoing testing before an official release.

The 'Easter egg' - a message or reward hidden in software by the makers - was found by Conrad Kramer, who describes himself on his Twitter profile as 'Programmer. iPhone hacker. Geek'.

Yesterday he tweeted: "So, I found out how to enable Panorama in the iOS Camera app. Set the key 'EnableFirebreak' to YES in com.apple.mobileslideshow.plist."

To activate the special function iPhone users will have to have their devices "jailbroken" - which opens file systems to allow for modifications.

Apple does not recommend users do this to their handsets warning that it will affect usability.

It said: "Apple's goal has always been to ensure that our customers have a great experience with their iPhone and we know that jailbreaking can severely degrade the experience.

"As we've said before, the vast majority of customers do not jailbreak their iPhones as this can violate the warranty and can cause the iPhone to become unstable and not work reliably."
