Anne Hathaway engaged
The announcement comes on the heels of photos of the couple over the weekend, which showed Anne wearing an engagement ring.
Anne's rep also revealed to Access that the ring was a "design collaboration between Adam and Kwiat Heritage jewels."
Anne and Adam -- a 30-year-old actor/jewelry designer -- began dating in 2008, following the actress' highly publicized & dramatic breakup with Raffaello Follieri, after Follieri pled guilty to 14 counts of fraud, money laundering and wire fraud.
Following the emotional split, Anne sat down with Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson, where the former "Princess Diaries" star opened up about her hopes to one day walk down the aisle.
"Sometimes I find myself somewhere and I'm just like, 'Oh, it'd be really fun to get married here,'" Anne told Shaun in December 2008. "I really don't know what that says about me but... I try not to anticipate things before they happen -- especially things that I would like very much to have happen."
Anne, who at the time admitted she had recently met someone who was "sexy" - presumably Adam, did question whether a wedding would ever be in her future.
"Of course, like everyone, I'm kind of going through a moment where I'm like, 'Do I even believe in marriage?' 'What's going on?' You know, as you do when you're fresh from a break up," she explained.
