Parents force daughter to have medieval duels
Fremon and Julie Seay allegedly gave their daughter the punishment for going to a party without their permission. The girl is the step-daughter of Fremon and police say he gave her a shield and a wooden sword and forced the girl to have a medieval duet with him.
As the mother watched on, Fremon allegedly beat the girl with a branch until she dropped on the ground from exhaustion. The police say when they question the two suspects, they said they have the right to discipline the child in any way that they want. The officers did not agree with that excuse and they have been handed their court dates.
Fremon has been charged with second-degree assault with a weapon. Julie who watched as the incident went on has been charged with accessory to the crime and they are due to appear before a judge at a later date.
The child has since been taken away from the parents.
