Cheryl Cole shoe range, Cheryl Cole Launches Shoe Collection: Which Other Celebrities Have Designed Their Own range of Footwear? Since the producers of "The X Factor" dropped Cheryl Cole from the show, she hasn't had the best luck. Her on/off relationship drama with ex-husband Ashley has been splashed all overthe news, and there was even talk that her movie debut in "What to Expect When You're Expecting" could be cut from the final film. After such a long spell of bad fortune, it seems as though things are looking up at last. Cole stepped out inLondon last night to launch her new range of stylish footwear!
She was in very high spirits as she mingled with her celebrity pals and tweeted about her evening. This could be the start of a new venture for the singer, and she has already expressed an interest in following in the fashion designing footsteps of Victoria Beckham. Whether Cheryl can really become a hotshot designer remains to be seen, but if she does, she will be in good company. Here are five other celebrities who have launched successful footwear lines.
Fergie
Speaking at the launch of her shoe line at Macy's, Fergie said, "I think that different artists put more effort and energy into their brands than others and that's okay. It's really whatever you want to give." For someone who claims she is detailed, theBlack Eyed Peas star has created a very mediocre line of footwear. Many of her designs look similar to those that can be found on the high street. The biggest difference is that Fergie's range is much more expensive!
Reba McEntire
You might not expect Reba McEntire to be the type of celebrity to launch a range of shoes, but back in 2007, she threw her cowboy hat into the ring and created Reba Shoes. Her collection is a true reflection of her country music background with style and comfort being the main focus. Nobody does boots better than Reba!
Beyonce and Solange Knowles
Beyonce and Solange Knowles really made a mark in the fashion world with their brand, Dereon. Dereon shoes were created with affordability, style and youth in mind. These talented sisters achieved it all, and without skimping on style. The entire collection is a show lover's dream!
Paris Hilton
On her website, Hilton says, "Paris Hilton Footwear is perfect for the fashion-forward young woman who wants to look and feel great from head-to-toe, without spending a fortune." Whether her range really is affordable is a matter of opinion, but it certainly has everything you might expect from Paris. It's trendy, stylish and some of it is a little bit wild!
Jennifer Lopez
Is there anything Jennifer Lopez can't do? She's a singer, an actress, a TV talent show judge, and of course, a talented shoe designer! JLo's shoes all have a very elegant, graceful look to them but the killer heels aren't for everyone. However, her unique designs make her one of the best celebrity shoe designers in the world.
