Bear cub gets into grocery store
Imagine the shock that raced up and down the aisles at Tatsudas grocery store in Ketchikan, Alaska on Saturday when that happened, reports the Duluth News Tribune.
According to local radio station KRBD, the bear cub apparently walked right through the automatic doors, and hopped up on the refrigerated vegetable compartment. bear cub grocery store,
Bear cub grocery store. One brave customer eventually grabbed the cub, and assisted police in bringing it back outside. The station reported that its mother was nowhere to be seen, and that according to a biologist, it was "unusually small for this time of year."
The Anchorage Daily News reports that the baby bear hasn't been seen back in the area as of Monday.
Back in July, two bear cubs stopped traffic at the Yosemite National Park by wrestling on the road. Drivers parked long enough to videotape the furry playtime until the little cubs eventually continued on their way.
