Diamondbacks release bobby crosby
Diamondbacks release bobby crosby, According to Ben Nicholson-Smith of MLB Trade Rumors, three teams have expressed interest in free agent infielder Bobby Crosby.

Crosby was released by the Diamondbacks in late August of 2010 after batting just .220/.294/.298 with one home run in 168 at-bats between Pittsburgh and Arizona. MLBTR's source claims that one team is eyeing the 31-year-old "as a shortstop" and that the other two only want him for utility purposes. Our guess is that this "source" is actually Crosby's agent, because no MLB team is really going to use him for anything more than organizational depth. He'll likely have to settle for a minor league deal
