Nicole Scherzinger denies engagement twitter
The comments led to a frenzy of reports that she and race ace Lewis Hamilton are engaged, forcing Nicole to clear up the matter.
In a frank interview with The Mail On Sunday, 52-year-old Alfonso said: "Yes, they are engaged.
"My future son-in-law is a really nice guy, really down to earth. My family all like him."
While the champagne was still cooling in the fridge, though, Nicole herself was quick to set the record straight.
Through her Twitter page, she told fans: "Lewis and I woke up this morning and read we were engaged. Sorry to disappoint u all but its not true." (sic)
So what on earth is her pops on about, then?
He's certainly not short of praise for Lewis, who's been dating Nicole for three years.
He added: "The good spirit is there. When he walked into the house for the first time, he picked up one of the babies. That went down very well.
"He is sincere and he and my daughter seem genuinely happy together."
Until you came along, Mr.Tut tut.
