beat-the-heat hairstyles. The high bun is a regular sight at fashion week and on red carpets around the globe, but you don’t have to be an A-lister to rock this demure ‘do. With a few simple products, you can achieve this flawless hairstyle that is not only chic but will also keep you incredibly cool during the hot summer months.
To start, mist blow dried hair with an anti-frizz spray (try Citrine Shine Shine Mist). Flip hair upside down and hit with a blow dryer for 20 seconds to create volume. Once back in the upright position, pull hair back into a high, tight ponytail and secure with a clear elastic. Next, if you have a teasing comb, use it to tease the base of your ponytail, if not a bristled brush will work as well. If you have clip in extensions on hand, either synthetic or real, take two sections and clip them in side by side. Make sure to place them on top of the ponytail as close to the elastic as possible.
Grab the ponytail in one hand and twist it. Take the twist and begin to loosely wrap it around in one direction. Secure the bun at the base with a few bobby pins. Gently tug the edges of the bun outward to add fullness and make it a bit messier. Lastly, mist hairspray on the front of your hair to secure any flyaways and the bun itself for hold.
