Prince Harry talks about marriage
Prince Harry talks about marriage. Prince Harry laughed off questions about when he will wed as he honoured Chelsea pensioners at their world-famous hospital.

Harry, 26, who was best man at his brother's recent royal nuptials, was put on the spot as he visited the institution to celebrate its Founder's Day.

William Titchmarsh, who in common with all 300 residents of the Royal Hospital Chelsea is a former serviceman, met the Prince as he toured the historic site.

The wheelchair-bound Mr Titchmarsh came out with his question as soon as he had been introduced to Harry, asking: "When are you going to get married?"

The prince, who has recently rekindled his romance with on-off girlfriend Chelsy Davy, looked a little surprised, then replied: "Not for a long time."

He then quizzed the pensioner, saying: "Who put you up to that?"

During the Westminster Abbey wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Harry played an important role - keeping William amused with his quips and comments. The 85-year-old joked after meeting the prince: "They'll shoot me in the morning," while a fellow resident said: "Put him on a charge, Sergeant Major."

The prince, a British Army captain who is trainee Apache helicopter pilot, toured the institution's infirmary, meeting staff and residents before attending the celebrations which commemorated the opening of the hospital by Charles II in 1682.

In a speech to mark the occasion, Harry praised the residents for their "extraordinary military service to our country". The royal, who served in Afghanistan for 10 weeks, added: "I do have some experience of soldiering. The comradeship that comes with it is one of the things I treasure most in life. The Army, for me and thousands like me, is a family.

"In that respect, for veterans coming here, it must be like coming home. That is why this place matters, and always will."
