Children sue bad mothering. An Illinois appeals court recently dismissed a case in which two adult children sued their mother for "emotional distress". The kids claimed damages were caused when she didn't buy them toys, sent birthday cards they didn't like, told them to buckle their seat belts and asked them to be home at midnight.
